This collection drew inspiration from observations of local plants of Sydney's coast, that appear sprouting brightly, out of mossy rocks or mown lawns, growing through even the smallest concrete crevices or clinging tightly to rocky cliff edges. I have drawn flowers and leaves that insist on hanging around, despite the strong winds and heavy rains that sweep and pummel the coast - blooming still with such elegance.
